Seeing as there isn't a Texas Star thread, thought i'd post this here. I'm heading to TS orientation on Monday. Feel like I did a good amount of research and Epes/TS seems like it'll be a good fit. Fingers crossed and prayers have been said, so lets hope. anytime ya'll get a load heading south and don't want it let me know we'll I/C it, cause i'd love to be able to do the same with any load i get heading to the north east.![]()

Lol that's funny. Hope you like jersey and points north hehehe. Don't think you're gonna see any of us jumping up and breaking our necks to take one of those ne trips away from you. We're trying to get the ones south and west lol been seeing alot more of those guys over this way than us getting out that way
Welcome to the club. It's really not that bad for the most part. would be interesting to hear about life on the other side of the riverLast edited: Aug 17, 2013
dinkytruckerdoo and teqntexas Thank this. -
uh....I've pissed my DM off PLENTY of times....and they've pissed me off plenty of times! I'm usually half and half, during the week! I HAVE noticed, on weekends it's usually a drop and hook. Today was my first LIVE LOAD on a Saturday! And of all the weekends I have run....say about 2 months worth, in the past year and a half...this was the first live load I've ever had!

yeah....I learned my lesson....I hope he/she did too! haha Flying will know that one!

Would LOVE TO! Give Suzy-Q a ring for me please...her number is ###-###-####(I added that in on purpose)...GET ME OUT WEST! And I'll hook you up! lol Welcome aboard! That IS funny that there is NO TSE threads here....they are pretty big out west, from what I've heard. Am I wrong?teqntexas Thanks this.

from what i've been told, west for me would be Colorado. But we'll see. lol, as for the north east, my very first trip as a solo driver was to Hunt's Point, then a week running ltl in Jersey, followed by a week ltl in Connecticut so i can do it, just well...rather not.
to be honest what i'm really worried @ is the driving test. the last 9 months i've been in a volvo w/ i-shift. so jumping back into a 10 speed first thing Monday morning may be a little interesting. -
Like riding a bicycle ! You will be fine!
teqntexas Thanks this. -
Like riding a bike. I spent the last 8 months in the freightliner with the dumbshift. Nothing 'smart' about it no matter what freightliner wants to call it lol
Got back in a stick 2 weeks ago. Piece of cake. You'll do fine. Make sure they know you've been in the auto they'll understand and give you that much. When i took my trainer certification 3 weeks ago it was the first time I'd been in a stick since December. He gave me some allowances for that before I got in the truck but turned out I didn't need them. Be one with the truck hehehe you'll nail it. Drive the truck don't let it drive you lol -
Flying, guess I'm just lucky or special. Grandma always told me I was special. I run out of Chester too and that seems to change things from what I hear from the majority of our drivers. I do run a lot of tobacco loads too but I consider those easy because I can just take my ten while being unloaded, might as well be drop and hook.
Needless to say, as soon as I said something about my drop and hook percentage I got a live unload in Albion, ny then a live load at Morton fifty miles south of there which delivers to a p&g in tn which is live. Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero.flyingmusician Thanks this.
