Mcleod doesn't care about safety because they tell you to drive on icy highways and if you get in a wreck ? you wont be able to take time off even if you have vacation time coming. call your lawyer first before you sign on because sooner or later you will need him or her.

you ever notice its always the companies never care about the drivers....I have a question what year did the drivers stop caring about the companies that provide them a living? hmmmmmmm..it is what you make young people. Hard work wont kill you...It makes you a better person.

It's not that simple. Many of these companies now have business models that maximize their revenue while minimizing the drivers pay. Knight, Heartland, and many other companies have moved to a short haul model while still paying drivers CPM. This means less miles, less pay, but more work for drivers. Drivers would care for there companies if they paid them by the hour or even better by %. % pay would align the companies interest with the drivers interest. When the company makes more so does the driver. As long as their is plenty of fodder for the driver marry-go-round that will never happen though because the current business model is too profitable to switch.

I disagree. Current driver for McLeod. Never home 3 weekends per month as promised. Lucky to get home Sunday and leave EARLY Monday mornings. Company tries to make me drive illegally. Truck has been in their shop 4 times for brake issues. Still aren't safe. I could go on and on. DONT SIGN ON WITH MCLEOD!

If it was my truck that i was assigned i would get all the bugs worked out with the shop..yes this might take some time to do..nut hey when its all done you as a driver know everything about whats been done with truck and now your good to keep truck and roll on ..even new trucks have issues.lmao..guess he hasnt been down that road yet either..new drivers... what is so hard about getting truck fixed the way you want it and keep it in good shape..also communication with bart in shop goes a long ways people.....and when you talk to shop be polite and dont demand everything on a silver platter,,also little advice if you keep inside and outside of your truck clean shop works harder for you....casue they see you care about your job..... and no I am not an office person...... i tell ya people in this country want everything handed to them....makes me sick
