i know at roehl they do a bit of micro managing that at times can be a pain. i ran for them for a little over a year. if you're an exp driver i think they step on your toes, so to speak, a bit too much. though their "hometime fleets" are nice looking options if you don't need 52 weeks of income. you can run 2 wks on 1wk off or i think they have 1wk on 1wk off too.
sammons sounds like a nice deal. i spoke, well, emailed with a recruiter there. said they stay out nearly 6wks at a time. seemed a bit long to me. i enjoy my home and family too much for y wks out...
ATS sounds decent, now I don't know them 1st hand though.

No the walk away serves for most any reason of separating from the company. I have twice seen/known drivers to exercise the walk away per personal reasons then return. If they had been jacked up I have a hard time believing they would have returned. At the end of the lease it becomes a purchase for 1.00 not exactly walking away. At least that is my experience here at JCT

Decent for what exactly?

I know more than a few that fell for their flease deal. Not good from what the guys tell me

I have been with Sammons five weeks now, if you want a little more info from first hand experience let me know, just got home for the second time so I don't know where they are coming up with 6 weeks out.

I liked what Sammons has to offer except when it came to the 2k/mo net profit. They do sell that as a very very low ball number. I get that and not promising the moon and stars is appreciated.
After looking at private health insurance in addition to other expenses that's too low with 26% gross, again I know they're low balling it. They do have a 10% down fixed payment option that has me interested.
I'm also looking more into JB Hunts program, they have a bumper to bumper warranty and hand you the title at the end of the contract. The guy I talked to wasn't the L/P guy so he was short on the details. -
my friend Ryan successfully completed his lease with JCT 4 weeks ago, then this past week the local Peterbilt dealership offered to purchase his truck for a price to good to pass up. So he chose to take their offer and sign a new lease on on a 2014 cascdia evolution and stick around. Over night he funded nearly 40k into a retirement account that as of last week he didn't even have. Not bad for a little over 3.5 years effort.Bucktrucker and cuya Thank this.

I haven't looked into JCTs plan because I want to go back into flatbeds. But just out of curiousity what truck did he trade in?
-
He traded in a 386 Pete with nearly 600k miles he put on it.

Wow so what's the point of starting this thread if you already have your mind set ? Good luck whatever you decide.

That's $952 a month. You can easily save that much working as a company driver for a good company.
