Hi I only worked for Hendrickson Trucking for One week When I was told over the computer in my truck to "go over my hours"PHP:
I replayed by saying "DOT does not allow me to go over 70 hours and I will not do it. I got an other driver to witness what they wanted me to do. The next day I sent e-mails to the company safety department with my two week notice. The company said that I took it the wrong way. When I came back to the company yard 4 days before the 2 weeks where up I was told to drop my trailer, clean out my truck, and go into safety with my log book, and sign my release papers. I did that up until I got to the safety department. Alan in Safety told me to take a set because he was worried I would stab in in the back. I could not believe he would say something like that to me. He was in the middle of a class when he said that to me. They would not even give me a ride to the bus station. PLEASE don't go to work for this company and make the mistake I did.
Don't work for Hendrickson

Safety dept with companies are nothing but a joke.I don't know why there is such a dept. You have an issue with your dispatcher they won't do anything and make it out to be your fault.
kimbosa Thanks this. -
If the company wants you to run more, just go in and buy another log book at the truckstop. Its better than sitting around a trashy truckstop...whats the big deal?
-
The big deal is you can get a very long time in a cell with bubba if you happen to be involved in a serious accident. Even one that is not your fault.classic_150, warrior81, kimbosa and 1 other person Thank this.

DOT dies NOT allow two log books I will NOT run that way for any company!!!
kimbosa Thanks this. -
True, but why live your life expecting that you will be involved in an accident instead of driving so as to avoid that accident? You might be killed by lightning, but does that mean you should never leave your basement if it is raining?
Wow, how the industry (and the country in general) has changed.

Why have flood or fire insurance on your home or auto insurance on your personal vehicle? Why pay for policies you will, in all likelihood, never use? After all, you don't EXPECT anything will happen to your home or automobile, yet you still carry insurance on both, just in case.warrior81 Thanks this.

Thank you for your assistance in ushering in the age of electronic logs. We cannot be trusted to obey the FMCSA laws, rules, and regulations, so the .gov will force us to comply.
My sarcasm meter is broken, so if your post is suppose to be sarcasm, forgive me.milskired Thanks this. -
I agree with you. No one should put themselves through the hell my husband and I have been through. completely degraded by dispatch. the failure to fix the trucks the bs miles and not sticking to the agreed upon plans for their drivers. my kids have suffered from us not being able to provide for them. the ###### conditions of the trucks. the lying the consistent lying. and screwing over the drivers and blaming the drivers for their mess ups?!?! I'm completely appalled by the way this company works and I will never come back. I am glad that we are leaving and got our jobs back by a Great company. we had people to talk to if therr was an issue with ANYTHING! BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY DON'T WORK HERE. BUT IF YOUR MIND IS SET AND THEY SWEET TALKED YOU INTO BEING HERE. I'LL BE PRAYING FOR YOUR SANITY.
