Since I finished my CDL schooling, I no longer have access to the online review materials. I was wondering if there are any free or low-cost online classes for HazMat endorsement? I want to take my HazMat exam on Monday.
I have copies of the CDL Driver's Handbook, Emergency Response Guidebook and the FMCSR Pocketbook. I'd love some online practice tests at the very least, though.

Have you tried the ones here... http://www.thetruckersreport.com/cdl-practice-tests/hazmat/

Aaaah!! This site has everything! Thanks!

Why don't you go to the DMV and pick up a CMV manual. The hazmat chapter is there and the longest chapter.I don't think you'll have enough time to either take the course or study and be able to pass Monday.Whats the hurry getting that endorsement?
Criminey Jade Thanks this. -
I already have the CDL manual, so I'm good there. The reason for speed is I lucked into a nice potential job but they want the HazMat endorsement at least in-process before I walk in the door. That happens next Wednesday. If I mess up the test on Monday, that gives me time to study and retake it on Tuesday.

The Hazmat practice tests on this site are very good! Also try the tests on www.truckercountry.com . I find the Hazmat section in the Colorado CDL manual a little lacking especially the radioactive materials section--despite the claim that all the answers are in the manual. I just renewed my CDL in July and had a lot of radioactive material questions. I have never hauled any radioactive materials and never intend to haul any but keep getting the test version that has these questions.

Thanks, Shadow Captain. I don't know if I'll ever haul radioactive materials, either. I know it's very important if you work for a company like CAST Transportation.

The haz mat test, while not being ridiculous, was the hardest of any of the written tests in my opinion. You'll definitely want to give it a good read. The questions in the test are random, but I found a lot of the questions related to the explosives section, and what you are allowed to do and how close to the vehicle you have to be while carrying explosives, so pay close attention to that subject. If you fail it, ask if they'll tell you what you got wrong. Some DMV workers are very helpful, but don't count on it of course. Good luck

If you read the book and went through the online tests you would be ready by Friday.

Well, shoot.
I didn't take the TSA background check into consideration. It's going to be a couple of weeks before I can take the test. I still want to apply for the job...
