Im long haul. Cant speak for it since i am with a trainer right now. He is in US division and we get over 2000 a week pretty easily. Almost every load will be tarped so count on that. Chances are if you have a load that isnt tarped, its gray bar out of fort smith.
I think ppl in long haul division runs more miles but the US guys probably make up for it by getting more tarp pay since they are reloading every other day or so.
Glass? Meh....not for me. It may pay a few cents more but I like having a variety of loads. Id be afraid to bottom out a glass trailer on a speed bump or something too lol.

As far as your fuel milage. They have pay for performance now. Its a mix of things such as mpg, miles, maintenance, and some others. Basically if you do your job well, you can make an additional 6cpm. Its pretty easy to get too. The truck I am in will run 68 but we normally set the cruise at 63 or 64. Not only does this increase fuel mileage, but it lets the traffic flow around you preventing you from changing lanes so much which reduces the chance of lane change accidents. It works until you come up on a prime truck....
At maverick, you dont have to run fast to make money. Normally you will have a appointment time which is easy to make. You arent empty very long after you deliver. Typically within 10 minutes from sending your empty macro, you have your next assignment.

It happens on a rare occasion that we go out west, but I have never done it myself if you don't count the two Hilti runs. -

0.525 basically means you're making 52 and a half cents per mile. Our checks show three digits, I guess just to be precise.

I go to Arizona quite frequently. To Yuma and Phoenix. And to California many times; Fresno, Valencia, Kingsburg, Tracy, etc.

Alright so someone please give me the real scoop!! I stopped at a flatbed truck today (in search on a tmc driver) this was a different company driver of a rival company! Nice guy! We talked for almost three hours. He said he has spoken to other tmc drivers and they had some not so nice things to say. Like short pay, long waits and low miles! Even recommended mcelroy over tmc and that wasn't the company that he worked for. I cannot run 70 hour weeks and receive $200 a week! I am so overwhelmed and frustrated right now. I wanted flatbed so that I didn't get fat and lazy not because of the money but I have to be able to afford to at least feed my family! Somebody please help me with this! I have been approved with Mcelroy TMC and maverick! What the heck do I do??
