Ka-Boom. Heavy has killed it. More cranking amps, (see "Cold Cranking amps) more reserve for your lights, radio, refrigerator.Pete0377 Thanks this. -
thanks guys for the quick answers. I was just asking to see for my project.

Why stop at 4? My ProStar+ has 8!!

Be careful how you connect them. Serial (pos to neg) gives you more voltage, same amperage. Parallel (neg to neg, pos to pos) gives more amps, same voltage.Last edited: Aug 23, 2013

Yep. Don't need a 24 volt out put.

I have 4 cause that is what my truck came with.the ones that come with 3 may not have a space to add a 4th.

I do not under stand how you could could hook up a pos to a neg with out serious damage & sparks.
-
Usually day cabs have 3 and sleeper trucks have 4. If you are going to stark it in zero degree weather I'd use 4

well i just thought to use 4 on my project truck for accessories such as fridge, radio, and few other small things i may put in it. I just thought better to be safe than sorry such as having 4 batteries instead of 3. Oh and speaking of batteries who makes custom cables for trucks?
