This wont have any bearing on most since its a company of 20 trucks, but drivers in the Wichita KS area beware. I found these people on facebook and the first thing you see is the picture of an old school Pete. It dosent exsist as far as I know. They have old beat up equipment that they dont like to maintain (the reason I left), and when you leave they put lies on your DAC so finding another job is impossible. Avoid them like the plague.

yup the same thing happened to when i left them a week ago and because of this i got bounced from Orientation that i was almost finished with. They never pay ya what your supposed to to get. When you question anything about Pay they always have a ready made excuse why it was OK for the Deduction/Chargeback. And Reimbursements mysteriously disappear and when call on them they say they will take care of em but nothing ever happens. Either they run you like a dog or you get nothing in terms of miles. if you call them about any breakdown there first response is "we just replaced that too long ago" all the truck 00-08 Freightliners KW's and from what i saw one Peterbilt. Think the lowest mileage Truck they have 800,000 Miles most of there equipment is well over 1 million miles. all the trucks are repaired and domiciled out of there house in Leon, KS.

So now i had one incident with them just before i left and now there saying i had 4 accidents with them and that everyone was DOT reportable but none were ever reported to law enforcement of any type (??)

So now i am looking for a new job now while i watch the bills pile up here this has turned into a big mistake working for them

aren't you they guy that dropped the trailer and it about rolled? Yea I bet they put something on your DAC lol, been with these guys a long time and have had 2 accident and they had an accident review and let me stay, 1 my fault and 1 not my fault, most companys would have let me go and put on DAC and I would be a door greeter at Walmart by now. I will be here many more years hopefully

I drive an 08 pete for these guys, it is the only pete I think they have, use to drive a red one but the regen problems were so great they got rid of them. Been with them a long time, don't always agree but I make good money and they are fair when you do mess up (as long as you don't try to tell them a stupid story) I promise anyone out there they are OK, sounds like some disgruntled drivers here.

Sounds like the psycho owner decided to post on here. I wasnt disgruntled, I tried to do the right thing and in the end they lied like the inbred dogs they are. These are people that you have to experience to believe they actually exsist. If you work for them it will be at your own peril. They only have 20 or so trucks and they are always hiring.Do the math, they suck.

And now a bonus feature to working for these clowns, you get to die for em. I saw where they posted that one of their favorite drivers just passed from a heart attack. RIP driver. And they dont even have the decency to help him to his final resting place. These people run their drivers in the ground, literally. I wish they would get nailed for running illegal and be put out of business before the body count gets any higher. Save your life, dont work for them.

    And...?:-?

Drivers have a right to be 'disgruntled' here if they so desire.

I've seen of a few of their trucks. Junk! Glad they let you slide on mess ups and it's good you stay there because you know that won't fly at other companies. Lol

Satchell creek express is like any other company out there. You drivers that whine and complain are a trip.....I have worked for them for the last 7 months and yes like many other companies they have their dysfunctional moments...but they are a good company....I started with them in Nov. 2013 and from the gate I had problems from my end and susan and the rest of the crew could have kicked my butt to the curb BUT they didn't and they saved my butt. someone stated they didn't dispatch well and from what I have read of his post doesn't sound like satchel creek was the problem but either the shipper or the receiver Satchell creek doe not have control on how long you sit at a shipper or receiver....and if your as good of a driver as you probably think you are you could work around the OBER. I wasn't on e logs and was able to work around the shipper/receivers. As for the payroll yea theres foul ups but everyone of them I had was cleared and reimbursed that day if not the next. I have given satchel creek my notice but not from any issues but from moving into my own truck. They gave me my life back(I had been off the road for over a year and under CSA2010 I should have gone to school for retrain) I have 18 years under my belt and have worked for many And I mean many B.S. companies. Ive been ripped off of over 4000.00 in payroll from others and was very skeptical over working for satchel creek but it worked out better than I expected. Driver you have the right to ##### here but you are very cold blooded to bad mouth satchell creek. Drivers that view truckerreport just to check if a company is worth the salt they say they are....and with your BS and your personal grudge against them you are doing exactly what you have said they are doing to them except not on DAC..Anyone that wants a company that will work with you Satchell Creek is the one. Granted some of their equipment is questionable but since I have been there I have seen a drastic change to the good......As for the comment on the dead guy.....WOW driver get your facts straight.....I drive the "deadmans truck" I know for a fact he did not pass in the truck but in a hospital and for a fact that susan (satchel Creek) paid for the funeral...... driver that complained .....go to CR England and see how messed up things really are...Ive driven for them and its not picnic...its getting harder and harder to obtain a good company these days and to all you that want a good company...WELL there is no such thing all companies have their ups and downs....but satchell creek is a fine company to drive for and if you prove your worth they will bend over backwards for you....PERIOD

I will be willing to bet the number of drivers in favor of Satchell is considerably shorter than the ones against. I never checked to see if there was payroll screw ups, seemed like it wasnt an issue, but that is just me. I didnt appreciate the lies they submitted to DAC which made it difficult to get employed elsewhere. They are a rag tag company that may be ok for the down and out but not for a guy that cares about his csa score. I chose them thinking they were something else. They are nuts and always slipping by with the DOT and one day they will hopefully be put out of business. And if Susan paid for the funeral ,why were they seeking donations on facebook? For all I know you might be one of the office workers posting this for them like the last post in their favor that was obviously done by Susan, one of the owners. Most of this post is in reply to the post by royaltee. Again folks dont work for them if you can avoid it.

What are the CSA scores for Satchell Creek Express?

Several days ago I came across a truck driver working for Satchell Creek Express. This was at the Flying Eagle Truck Stop on S. West St. in Wichita KS.

The truck driver had only good things to say about the company. He mentioned that he was out of truck driving school some time ago and continued to stay on with the company. The driver mentioned that he has hauled freight to Farmland Industries along with other places. For the most part, it is regional driving, primarily in the Midwest.
