I have an absolutely spotless driving record and absolutely no criminal record. I was a deputy sheriff for the last 5 years and believe me you have to be spotless to drive a patrol car. Ha ha
jxu417 Thanks this. -
You'll average about 40k, but that's not all miles. That figure includes your tarp pay, possible bonuses, etc. I was told the average was 50-52 grand a year, yet I never could find a single driver averaging that. Realistically it's 40gs a year, which isn't really bad, but you do have to work for it. Overall, a good company to work for, the difference is night and day compared to dryvan, I was never talked down todaddy2twins Thanks this.

My first year as a brand new rookie was over $45K. Will be a little more for my second full year as a sophomore. The new PFP Program (for the dedicated divisions) is going to end up hurting my overall pay that I have become accustomed to, and is leading me to return to the OTR division I was on before I switched to dedicated probably sometime in the near future.

So I can make that my first year with weekends off (34 hour restart)? Of course I know not every single weekend.

This will be my first full year. I hauled my first load in the first week of November last year. Unless something goes dramatically wrong between now and the end of the year, I should be over 50k this year. Granted, the account I am on requires a lot of hours everyday and is more work than otr, I still make pretty good money. I doubt there are many companies where you will make more than at Maverick as an inexperienced driver.daddy2twins Thanks this.

Yeah. It's looking thay way. I've been trying to decide between Maverick or McElroy. I know both make your "weekend" a restart at home which isn't bad.

If you are committed to keep moving and waste absolutely NOT A MINUTE each day of your 14, then I say you could do that or maybe even more. When I started I was in RAT division for almost 3 months, at the beginner's cpm rate of .33/mile, but then I was offered the "Opportunity" (tongue-in-cheek there) to do this account where I was moved up to .39/mile until I had reached one year, then was bumped up to .40/mile (which is our division's top-out pay). We get $10 per tarp and $20 load pay (so $30/per load). We do more loads on a weekly basis than the OTR divisions normally, like anywhere from 5 to 10 each week. So that adds up for us to make up the difference on our lower cpm pay rate.... But! We are on that trailer ALOT, and it gets very very exhausting let me tell ya. So, all that said, for about 7-8 months during my first year, I was at a slightly higher cpm rate than I would have been had I stayed OTR, but by my one year mark, I was then making LESS than I could on the OTR divisions. So my example is ever-so-slightly skewed, but I believe not really any MORE OR LESS to be much different than any one else's first year average. Evil_E, Projump, Jim, and a few others that have started with Maverick within the past 2-3 years could probably chime in here too to share I hope.daddy2twins Thanks this.

Exactly! I whole-heartedly agree with nc-rider.daddy2twins Thanks this.

All this sounds good but what I'm worried about is I did the application online for Maverick Friday night. I checked the status immediately after I did it while I was just trying to figure the site out and by "status" it ALREADY said denied. Like I stated before, my record is spotless and have absolutely no tickets. I know no one has looked at the app over the weekend so why the automatic denial?
