So I need to know if I can still be hired with the current MVR. I had a reckless driving ticket back in November and two speeding tickets 10mph over the limit. If was hired by Melton Truck Lines with one my speeding ticket and my reckless driving but I received another after being employed with them. None of these were in a commercial vehicle. Do I need to look for a new career? Is there still an opportunity for me?

why you didn't learn your lesson and move forward instead of keep doing the same mistake over and over, you screw yourself up. Your cdl is your life there is something some ugly things you simply can't do i tell that to my friend all the time they will be going 20mph over the speed limit and expect me to do the same nope it's not gonna happen because if i keep on getting speeding tickets i will ended up in fliping burgers.

Exactly the reason I sold my cbr I couldn't keep off the throttle so it would have been a matter of time Til I messed up my MVR and my chances for a career.

I'm a recruiter and ur pretty much toast as I see it! It'll be hard with the CSA and all now in effect now. Ur score is going to keep alot of carriers away from u. Keeping ur Mvr free from tickets and accidents is key!! That's how u make ur living dude. I'm a former truck driver and after I got my cdl I'm very aware of how fast I go no matter what I drive. Ur cdl is ur ticket to make alot of money in the industry IF you want to.

No need to be cruel. Anything you do, and it doesn't matter what you drive will have a big influence on your CSA score, and as the recruiter mentioned, will make a reputable company look the other way. You CDL is your livelihood and one way to think of it is you only have one drivers license. You don't have a separate one for driving your personal vehicle and a differant one when driving a truck. The reckless plus the 2 speeding tickets will likely sideline you for a couple of years till they come off your record. Till then, SLOW DOWN!
