I want to start a career in trucking, but I have zero experience at the moment. My question is will it be best to apply to a actual trucking school such as Roadmaster or Sage, or go through a company paid cdl program and if so which one? I've heard so many negative things about each company im not sure who to go with. I was accepted to crst but im not to sure about them. Im leaning toward cr england, but just not too sure at the moment.

If you have enough money to go to a trucking school on your own then that would be better. Roadmaster is a good trucking school and a lot of training companies take students from those schools. Now company sponsored training will always have a contract and therefore some will require to stay atleast for a year and also you will be paying back everything you owe so you will be making less your first year. There is alot of negative things about CRST and CRE. In my opinion you can choose a better company. CRST is a company for teams so if you want to drive solo CRST wouldn't be a good company for that. You should take a look at Central Refrigerated, Prime, Millis or Stevens.

Pay for it yourself ( I borrowed the $ and paid it back within the year), that way you wont be stuck to any certain company just because.

Also if you got good credit you can finance the tuition at Roadmaster. Or if you got a co-signer but thats always difficult
