Well I guess if you were living in Miami of which there are a lot of flatbedders. I bet it will get moved prob for $1500 by a guy who has been out for a few weeks and is going home for the holiday. Thats the way of it. There is always a truck going somewhere. Great industry we are in.

Because sometimes they actually call back later and offer me the load at the rate that I want. That's why.

Guys that live in Miami aren't stupid enough to add on 300 slow miles when they can get the same rate or more going to Medley. That is a sight seeker rate for a moron that calls his family in the Midwest and tells them he's in KW. Unless you're going to the Navy base, KW is not a place you want to go with an OTR truck and trailer anyway.
Hmm, I've been jonesing for some Tower of Pizza in Key Largo though, what was that broker's number?

Brewfest this weekend in Key West. Wouldn't catch me dead with anything bigger than a bicycle there this week.

I can count on one hand how many brokered loads I've hauled in the last several months so i'm not sure how I ended up with them.

More of Snowwy's fiction. I'm telling you your missing your calling in life.

You should be calling them. Otherwise, the only people who will call are those who are desperate and have exhausted all other options. That only makes it easier for them to book loads cheap. I call them first and offer them higher rates than everybody else. And if everyone would do that, the problem would be solved.
