When I was still a student, our CDL school kept switching us back and forth between Freightliners, and older Kenworth and Volvos. I hated the shifting in the Volvos. After driving the Freightshakers, I found it was way too easy to miss gears even when I had the RPMs right. Downshifting and shifting while climbing steep onramps was a legitimate b****. Other than that, I don't have any complaints about Volvos. The seats were comfortable.
I recently drove a Peterbilt 386 and it was a really nice ride. The shifting felt good. If given the choice today, I'd take the Pete 1st.
Does anyone here drive a Western Star? -
Well if want to learn the truck that most companys use then you want to learn on a freightliner I see more freightliners out there than anything followed second by volvo yeah the petes are nice but most larger freight companys dont use them that much probally because of cost

yes really. I couldn't tell the difference between the trucks if I was standing in front of every different type.

thanks for the link I just looked at it. The truck looks like all the others to me just with a skinnier nose. but thanks though that was cool to look at. I cannot add to the poll unfortunately but I would if I could.
