Where do you live at?
I agree, it is very structured and they have there own way of doing things but it works very well. Good luck with your trainer out there. I do miss driving for them(2.5 years linehaul/JD specialized). It is a wonderful place to work and they don't cut corners which is what I really liked. Do it right or be gone!

I really want to work for them......If someone could PM(private message) and let me know or could u talk to someone at TMC for me.....what I seen and the trucks!! and training it seems like TMC Is a great company to work for!!! or does anyone disagree with me?????....so if u u could get back I would apreciate it!!!!!! Thanks

I don't see the hiring map anymore on their site. From what I remember though I don't think they hired that far north, but I'm not sure. Plug in your zip code on the site and see or give them a call and ask, doesn't hurt. -
Alright so someone please give me the real scoop!! I stopped at a flatbed truck today (in search on a tmc driver) this was a different company driver of a rival company! Nice guy! We talked for almost three hours. He said he has spoken to other tmc drivers and they had some not so nice things to say. Like short pay, long waits and low miles! Even recommended mcelroy over tmc and that wasn't the company that he worked for. I cannot run 70 hour weeks and receive $200 a week! I am so overwhelmed and frustrated right now. I wanted flatbed so that I didn't get fat and lazy not because of the money but I have to be able to afford to at least feed my family! Somebody please help me with this! I have been approved with Mcelroy TMC and maverick! What the heck do I do??

I don't think we hire out of Vermont. If we do I think you will be out for at least 14 days. But you will make make the most with TMC point blank. Our % pay will out pay any cpm pay scale out there. When I was a line haul driver I average about 50cpm on %. But most guys will call me a liar but its the stone cold truth. If you want to make the most and are willing to play the TMC game. Meaning actually hustling out here and turning loads you will kill it.
milskired Thanks this. -
Hey machine man, PM me with your name if you don't mind. How long have you been on Specialized?

I know some are just so excited to be getting a chance to be hired on with TMC...& for the most part... TMC is a good company. But their people don't walk on water. Just a quick word to the wise...PLZ do your own background check on people your meeting there (trainers too). Dont take them home for dinner and to meet the family just because they are part of the Black and Chrome family. Dont get a false sense of security from what you believe to be TMC policy. Things are not always what they seem. At bare minimum, at least 'Google' there name.

Umm first of all why would you ever do that ?!? Your family is your business and personal life. I treat my co workers just as co workers and that's it nothing personal. Unless I worked with him/her for a while you have no invite or need to see what my life is about. I'm a kind hearted person but when it comes to my personal space your not welcomed. Just as you would protect of what you make in pay/where you live. You might be a co worker but that's all you are, your not family. PERIOD

and dont forget u guys have the nicest flat bed fleeet rigs out there

Aaowens...You might be cautious. You might draw a definant line. As would I. But some do get a false sense of security.
