i sold my R1 for this reason i was on average running from the cops weekly back down in florida when i was 16-18 one thing u never do on a crotch rocket is pull over for a cop when u just buzzed by him doing 160+mph now as my GF puts i drive like an old lady unless im in a town where i know the local pd ur cdl is ur life one ticket is bad enough private or commercial

now i just put around on my harley id much rather deal with a excessively loud exhaust and get a ticket for that then deal with fighting a speeding ticket

Lmfao GF says you put around like an old lady? But you've got a 111mph truck. If she only knew right? Lol.
My gf took a trip with me last week said I have a lead foot. But she also said at least I'm smart about it I don't run fast when there are bears in the area. Kinda hard on a bike I know. That radio is my best friend at times, but I do my best to stick to places that I know. Stay up in the Midwest and they don't bother you much with 5 over from my experience. Conditions also play a part as well. I've blown by troopers both in my rig and my pickup late at night running 7-10 over and never had an issue. Then again I was on the 2 lanes where you don't pass a car for 10-20 miles. One pulled me over in on HWY 34 east of York at about 2 am one night. He was the only car I had passed in 20 miles. Could've got me for 10 over just walked up asked me where I was headed said home. He looked at me looked at my licence said I see you're a truck driver. I said yes sir he looked at me said you travel this often? Said in my truck yea. He said alright I'm not going to write you a ticket just slow it down sir and have a good night. I said thanks be safe and have a good night and left. Attitude has a lot to do with it as well. If you're a jerk they're going to be a jerk if you say yes sir, no sir and are kind and respectful you won't have a problem with most of them and that's when they will usually drop speed off or give warnings. I am a smart ### with gage county though. Last time one of them morons pulled me over for nicking the center line I told him he was the 2nd fastest thing in gage county...that was when I was 18 and stupid though.

For the OP those are definitely not good. A mega MIGHT take you on but its going to be tuff until they drop off your MVR. I learned a long time ago record is everything. Insurance companies run this country and if you can't get insured a CDL is worthless to you. No sense in ridiculing you for the past its a past. Best bet is to call around and explain your situation and see what can be done about it and who will hire you. Some companies will give you a letter to signs that says no tickets or accidents for a year or its an immediate termination. If that happens you can sign it and you just have to be careful. Good luck.

I was going to post exactly this. I count no less than 4 grammatical errors in that 1 post. Perhaps the pot should look in the mirror before calling the kettle black...

OP: The only way you're going to stay in this career is to find a company that is self insured, and that is willing to overlook your prior transgressions. Unfortunately, that means mega carriers that will treat you like #### for the next few years. You now have to ask yourself if it really worth it to keep driving. If not, you might be able to find a local gig depending on where you live (i.e: oil fields or log truck.) Don't expect anything nice though. You could also get a job in road construction. A least that way you'll be able to wet your driving wick every once in awhile...all while learning a new trade to boot.

    Good luck.

I have to agree. You seem to get a brain freeze when you drive your personal vehicle. I wouldn't want to be anywhere near you if your driving a semi.
