They bled mine dry too. Luckily they didn't hit me for any extra like they did you. Sorry to hear that you got screwed. I guess ACT is just like the rest of the fleece purchase deals.

For all of you that thought I got some outstanding preferential treatment they bled my $10,000 maintenance account dry also plus about an extra $1500. It was in truck payments while it was getting fixed even though they were collecting $750 a week from the insurance company for the truck being down they still charged me the truck payment also. Double dipping tools.

I guess they figured they would collect the lost lease payment from the insurance company, plus the lost revenue from you. I don't trust any company, especially any company that is listed on the stock exchange, which I don't know if ACT is or not. It seems that most companies have totally neglected any morals or respect for employees, and only focus on what they can reap in profits, and to heck with anyone else.
BK2, I have followed your experiences for quite a while now. I don't know the full details of your problems with ACT, but know most of it. I have found you to be a hard runner and someone that is dedicated to the company if they treat you right. I hate you had the bad luck you had, and hope you land on your feet. If I still had several trucks, and needed a driver, you would be on top of my list to hire, no matter your recent problems.
Good luck to you...The Specialist Thanks this. -
Thank you Sir. I am doing pretty good though. I bought a truck and now have my own authority and just started running a few weeks ago.

I am glad to hear that. I hope you do very well in your new ventures. You are a person I wish I could have hired many years ago when I had several trucks.BigKid2 Thanks this.

So you had to pay them so they got payed twice is that right
-
Yes that's right.

Man,that was an awfully nice thing you said....seriously! And I agree wholeheartedly. He seems like a very hard running guy!

Im sure you did when you was here . You made alot of money here at the expense of others . How much money did it cost you to cherry pick all them good loads. You would be the first to call out a driver for blaming the company . Now your doing it . Had you not wrecked the truck you still be here you know it. Sour grapes

You don't know what you are talking about. I never cherry picked anything at all or got preferential treatment when it came to loads if I had I would of been one of the drivers that just did mail loads out of Independence all the time but I had not had one of those in the last 10 months I was there. I did however get loads sometimes that they knew a lot of their drivers could not do due to elogs or they knew I could get them done when most drivers could not. As for you saying I made a lot of money due to recruiting yes that is correct I did. I recruited a lot of drivers to what I thought was a good company at the time and once they mandated elogs and it became not as easy to make money I quit recruiting. I recruited probably 30 drivers in the first 16 months I was there but only recruited 1 driver in the last 8 months and he was pretty much handed to me by Marsha. As for you saying I would still be there if not for the accident you are incorrect about that also I was already approved by Landstar and I was looking for a truck to go and do that.ghettochild Thanks this.
