Well yesterday on my way home had the cruise set and all of the sudden the truck loss power. It dropped from 1350 rpms to about 1100 then the power came back. The further I drove the more frequent it did it. Then I stopped for a 30minute break and the lower gears it acted just fine then I hit 5 low and nothing for like 10 sec and then the power came back. And when I say power I mean the engine didn't shutoff at least I don't think so. It just wouldn't react to the fuel pedal at all and then it would. Any ideas out there
What's wrong with my 379

Crank or cam sensor? Possible bad connection for ECM power?
-
I was kinda of thinking it was some sort of connection.
-
What engine ? Can you get codes out with cruise switches ? -
It's a c-15. It says no active codes
-
Check the wiring to the crank sensor from the ECM. Possibly crank or cam sensor playing up also, they have been known to do that without codes.
-
Did you try fuel filters? You could have gotten a bit of crappy fuel in the tanks. Drain some out of the primary and see if you have nay water.
olpa77 Thanks this. -
Yah I did that. It really feels like a bad or short connection. Ive had bad fuel before it would spider every time you got on the fuel. This just happens when it's at 1350 rpms and drops to1100 and then its normal

You might want to replace the TPS on the accelerator pedal.
-
I'd check the battery power & grounds to the ECM and the ignition switch power to the ECM first. That is the most likely electrical problem that will not log a code. TPS and timing sensors can be bad without a code, just less likely with it being a problem for several seconds.
wore out Thanks this.
