Impossible to answer without knowing what you are going to do with it.

I am talking about OTR. Basically what Swift, Knight, and Gordon run.
Licensed to kill Thanks this. -
Richter according to your profile, you haven't being driving long enough to know about how each brand handles and rides, and remember each brand makes several models, so all comes down to which models you are comparing, a set back axle is going to ride a little better and will turn tighter than a standard axle truck, don't matter who built it, but to say that Pete and Kw will be more expensive to maintain than any other brand I think is a stretch, it all depends where you take it and how you treat it, but I'll take any Paccar product any time, Freightliner is a bit cheaper to buy, but you get what you pay for, I have never seen a new KW or Pete leaking from the door sills and windshields when it rains.
wore out Thanks this. -
Great. So I get to look forward to possibly driving trks like I did in the Army. When it rains, Make sure I have wet weather gear on.

T700.. any of those. Volvos are really comfortable, the petes are small, unless you're talking about the 386.
T700 replaces the T2000, same cab updated, but better lightning output and better ergonomics and sleeper features.
Volvo 780 is paired with that kw.
T660 are smaller up front, still I'd pick a kw over any other truck. Volvos suck when they break down as all that crap is dealer only so most shops wont touch them unlike freightcheapo (liner) and paccar. -
Don'T EVER say my opinion isn't valid because I havn't been driving long enough. Some driver drive 25 years in the same kind of truck, so don't think i have no idea what im talking about.
That being said, Petes and KW's are know for leaks. TMC just had to get warentty service and replacement on over 250 of their brand new pete 579s. The pete 379 i used to drive leaked all the time when it rained hard and at truck washes. My FL will over 700,000 miles doesn't leek at all. I've driven multiple model petes and KW at TMC and I can say my FL Columbia is a better truck all around (durability, maintenance, divisibility, handling, visibility, comfort, ride). the only thing my FL doesnt have is looks. The petes look better on the outside. That being said, chrome doesn't pay the bills. I could care less what it looks like as long as it makes me money with a comfortable ride.
Thos petes and KW i drove broke down all the time, and my fl has yet to have any minor or major problems. -
or 387, 587, 579
