I seem to remember Covenant providing free life insurance when I worked there. Wasn't much, but would have easily covered cremation & fed ex bills.

OK...I get the point of the article...Southern Refrigerated Transport failed.

However, what does that article have to do with Covenant Transport?

CTG owns SRT, not Covenant. Covenant is a sister company, and they aren't even managed the same way. CTG owns them all, SRT, Covenant, Star, Tfs, etc...Covenant and SRT 2 totally seperate corperations. CTG does not even haul freight, nor dispach anyone, nor has a terminal. Its a corperation 'Parent' to all its lesser companies. Each company runs itself otherwise. If SRT screwed up, then it was SRT alone that did it. I am pretty sure they didn't 'Phone Home' when they made that mistake, but I would love to be a fly on the wall when whoever did so got fired over it.

CTG stands for Covenant Transprort Group,..It is a similar name based on its separation years ago from Covenant Transport Inc. itself, but is NOT the same company as Covenant transport Inc. Its not even run by the same people.

actually not. That guy does not run Covenant Transport the trucking company, From their website, its run by a Joey Hogan. Parker is the CEO of the CTG group.
