I would consider it but dont know if my employment history would say otherwise. Thanks Dinomite, Im going to start sending out as many applications as I can and hopefully I get some calls. I just had my hopes set high for Maverick, havent heard many bad things about them and really wanted to be a part of their team. Im really just looking for a company that has good equipment and is gonna give me lots of miles, Im not really looking to get home too often and want to put in work to get some money and not just sit around waiting for a load. At this point Im just gonna go with whoever gives me a shot and see where that takes me.

    Dinomite Thanks this.

LOL, I said I don't normally tell people that. I'm an honest person, honestly! :)

Before his career starts it is not a game changer. Once his career starts it is.

The company will never lie to you! :)

You know termintation is serious business. I would contact a physician immediately.

Learn a big lesson real fast, there is such a thing as being too honest. Especially in this business.

You want lots of miles and good equipment? Pull reefer and run california. All the trucks that go there will have to meet CARB so therefore they will be newer. Prime maybe? Stevens?

Flatbed right out of the gate might be a little more difficult because of no experience and the insurance probably considers it more of a risk than say dry van or reefer. This might translate to any spec and they won't take you. I don't know about this, only a guess.

It will be tough the first couple of years, but good luck to you. Get through that unscathed and more opportunities will open up. Do not fall for any crap anyone will tell you "we are only hiring lease operators at this time". RUN the other way. Drive THEIR truck ONLY.

I would not include that job on the rest of future job applications. That saves you from lying. Get your year in. I know your dream is flatbed but so is finding a job and supporting yourself. Try Prime Inc. Knowing Mavericks hiring zone, I presume you would be in Primes area as well. Also, try HO Wolding, Ozark Motor Lines, Conway, Trans Am.
