I would say that since you have seen 5 Maverick trucks for today and you were having doubts then that is fate. You should go ahead and make the leap it might bring you good luck. Just a thought.

Anyone hear that 7 flatbed guys were fired today for the HOS internal audit? Fired for not doing load checks.
-
Hadn't heard that, but it wouldn't surprise me. I've gotten chewed out once for not logging a full 15 minutes when I fuel. As per DOT regs. It wasn't too big of a deal since I wasn't intentionally trying to get by with anything, I just never thought about it.
Maverick hires the best, pays the best, and treats their drivers the best. And in return they expect the best. Gotta follow the rules if you're gonna play the game. -
So you put yourself on-duty the entire time you're loading and unloading?
-
Not in TCD. Dunno about flatbed or glass though, securing and tarping could be considered as on duty work. You'd have to ask your FM or call Safety, they'd know for sure.
-
Yes I did, not logging sufficient on duty time.....
-
Any idea who the drivers were?
