Let me start off by saying that I have been smoking weed for 12 years. Not because I enjoy the effects (which I do), but for the past 7 years I have used for Pain Management. I got into a car accident in 2006 where I was the passenger and it resulted in me having two slipped discs in my back. I feel intense pain If I stand for extended periods of time, and moderate pain all other times.
My main question is, are there any "non-perscription" alternatives to marijuana to help me with my pain management. I do not believe in perscription drugs/ pills.
I try to live my life as healthy and natural as possible.
And due to the drug policy for the company I am about to start up with, I can no longer use my precious herb.
If anyone has any suggestions (not smart ### comments), it would be greatly appreciated

I use betel nut. Tuck half of one in the jaw like a chew of tobacco. Research it. Can buy it in some Asian stores or Chinatown stores. I've never had a pee test while using it, so better Google. It helps me with my back & shoulder that was injured years ago.

Okay I'm going to go out on a limb here.
1.you have 2 slipped disks in your back
2.just sitting around not bounding in a truck you have to take medicinal marijuana for the pain (I will not get into my views on that)
3.you do not believe in perscrition medication to relieve the pain.
So here is what were left with chew tylonal like its candy or don't decide to drive a truck. That's about the best I can come up with aside from grit your teeth and bear the pain. I don't have 2 slipped disked but I have 3 shifted vertebra in my back, dad has 3 or 4 crushed vertebra in his back. And it is hell on your body. We never took pain killers for our pain so were used to it. If you can get used to dealing with the pain that will be your best option.
Personally I don't carry any meds in my truck won't even carry a perscription bottle in there its just something for DOT to nag about. But honestly if you can't tolerate the pain advil, alieve, Tylenol, or something of that sort is your only option. And take it from somebody who has used all of the above mentioned for years they do lose effectiveness. Back when I was younger and still playing hockey it was nothing to pop 4-5 500mg capsules of any of those before stepping on the ice. After 3 years of doing that about 5 times a week and numerous injuries it took 12-16 hours to discover I'm almost immune to that crap. Options are limited and bouncing around is in no way shape or form going to help your back situation.
Have you looked into going to a chiropractor once a month or something? That may do your back some justice. Seat Cushons are gimmicks most of the time I've never found one that actually helps my back and you won't get a nice bostrom or legacy seat in one of them fleet trucks. I don't have many ideas but look into going to a chiropractor once a month. They do actually work...if you find one that's worth a ####. Mine is worth his weight in gold when I get time to see him.Skunk_Truck_2590 and morr2fab Thank this. -
There will be NO exceptions to illegal narcotics per DOT regulations period including any LEGAL meds that are mood or mind altering such as anti depressants, mood stabilizers or anything to control ADD/ADHD or causes drowsiness. I have nothing againest marijuana as I used to use in my teen years but it has no business in the industry so I'm not against it but I'm not going to advocate it either. Your gonna either have to suck it up, clean up and then go for it and deal with the pain or Sit at home and continue to do something that will get you no where in life except probably jail if you get caught. I don't use illegal drugs nor do I complain about the pain as I have a bad back that hurts me 24/7 and Alive is the only thing left over the counter that helps me until I finally get immune to it and I pull FLATBED! There are other over the counter meds that can pop a false positive on the whiz quiz.
Oh and another thing. Many companies have started hair testing so good luck trying to beat that one after a month because they can go back a good ways on those tests and you can't cheat it. Thats why they are doing it. Good luck!Chinatown, morr2fab and roadwarriorflatbeder Thank this. -
We all hurt some worse than others even some prescription meds say you shouldn't drive. I take alieve or BC powder sometimes it works sometimes it don't. when it don't I have to ride it out, doesn't matter to me what people do on their time its theirs. As previously posted if you are hurting now just wait till you get in a truck all day, you will need something way stronger than marijuana
morr2fab, ProjectICE, Chinatown and 1 other person Thank this. -
if you have been smoking weed for 12 years it will take you months just to pass the pee test. just saying weed puts 99% of safety guys on high alert. you might try getting a grow lic. in calf. if you need work
Chinatown, Skunk_Truck_2590, Lilbit and 3 others Thank this. -
Oh yes he can beat it. Its called a razor...good luck shaving your whole body though sounds like a big headache to me.Skunk_Truck_2590 and morr2fab Thank this.

That's right everybody going to hair testing, bad times if the razor slips

Nah, he could pass a hair follicle test in 90 days. Pee will be clean by 30 days and don't ask how I know.

That last bit depends on a variety of factors. I got a bud who smoked for about a decade and then got popped with a DUI, which led to mandatory testing. He pissed hot for two months... it took that long for it to COMPLETELY be removed from his system. The more you know.
