I keep reading about people having a twic card. What exactly is that for? I'm new to all this. Thanks

it just depends where you are...hubby hauls crude and doesnt have one.....

TWIC = Transportation Worker Identification Credential. The only people I've heard about needing TWIC cards are going to shipping ports to deal with intermodal containers. You shouldn't need one for oilfield stuff.

TWIC is for entry into seaports, chemical plants & some military bases.

I have Twic Card, The only place that evers as for is the customers located at the ports. Military bases do there own security background checks. I on to Edwards, Nellis boyh did thier own separate security checks.
