you are correct but I have a Co-Driver that lives 30 miles from me and I ever had a issue paying him. Like you said Prime will never get involved if a LO does not pay his co-driver.

It's covered by a contract between the drive and codriver... that means you get to handle the dispute in court.

You run team, right? And your a lease operator, correct? How does that work, expense wise other than you paying your co driver .08/mile? If that makes sense. Like for fuel, break downs, etc. My husband is looking to team with a lease operator. The guy is saying he will only pay .03 per mile, so a total of .15 per mile, to me that is really low. I mean my husband could drive solo company and make more than that.

His team miles would have to average over 5,500 every week at 15-cpm to meet the yearly averages most solo drivers post. That would be quite unlikely.

That is what I thought. What are the averages that solo drivers are getting, do you know?

That depends a bit... a few years ago I was averaging over $800 AFTER taxes. That was at the lower pay scale (2-cpm or so lower) than what solos start at now, no lightweight bonus... they didn't have them yet.

Your ol' man can do much better on his own that 15-cpm with an LO.

I averaged 2500 miles per week. So at .42cpm thats 1050.00 a week before fuel bonus, which was another .02 per mile. And that is all before taxes of course.

For Mattswife's SO, a better number would be your yearly average miles. August has reasonably good freight... what does February look like?
