It needs a separate area for taking rest breaks for one of the drivers. If it's a crew cab, or a cab and a half, you can have a bed fitted there.

it's a 3500 HD 4 door 4W/D .there is room in the back for a "sleeper berth" but is the truck cab legal so that two drivers can run it 24/7 ?

Be lucky you have the back row for sleep. We have cargo can drivers who team up and they have to run 30+hours in the front seat. They get a motel at the end of the run, but holy cow. You would never catch me doing that.

So if they get pulled in to a weigh station and get inspected w//
log books there won't be any problems?

The GVWR isn't high enough on those trucks to require daily logging. They only have to complete a pre-trip on the vehicle in most provinces and US states. I don't have an answer to your question but I can't imagine being able to log sleeper birth if you're just sleeping on the second row of seats. I have no real idea without looking up the regulations though my guess is purely speculation.

yes they do have to log, the GVWR on the truck alone is well over 10k.
