I am from Central Indiana and I am looking at 3 companies. Can anyone share their advice and experiences with Maverick, Fraley & Schilling, and Boyd? I have a year experience and I want a company that treats you like a person and gets you home regularly.

    mje Thanks this.

ive been at maverick going on 2 years and this is my 5th company in as many yrs. I love it here! great miles money and home every friday. I bank between 850- 1100 thats af5er taxes insurance and 401k. they preach family in orientation an they mean it. your not a truck number but a name when ya call and need something. that said its not for everyone, when it comes to secrument its there way or the highway. I havent found any company that pays anywhere close to maverick, my base is .44 my bonus is .6 so im at .50 cent a mile per quarter. also im a trainer so +.6cent when I have a student in the truck. and 25$ to tarp.

That sounds really good. Would they hire me with no flatbed experience?

My best opinion for you would be:
    1. maverick
    2. Hunt
    3. Boyd
Maveric and Hunt both are great companies, Hunt has more opportunities as far as heavy haul, While Maveric does have a small heavy haul div and a glass div they are primarily a flatbed company. Where hunt does a lot of flat, step and RGN and you cross train for all three. depends on which way you want to go. Either way you are in a good lanes for both Hunt and Maveric

McElroy and Maverick have weekend at home programs. Maverick has the best reputation for good paychecks. Melton Truck Lines has the best healthcare package for driver and family.

    The best?! C'mon man...

Maybe out of all the big huge companies out there...

Why not go knock on some doors at the companies local to you?

    mje and MJ1657 Thank this.
