    Hello everyone. I just got hired on with a company that does white glove furniture delivery. I am going to be driving a rig directly to houses across the country. The company is contracted through chain stores that sell furniture. Well I am told the pay is per mile plus I get a percentage of every sale. The interviewing manager basically made it sound like it would be a very high paying gig. So I am really looking forward to it (the background check takes ages) So I was wondering if anyone here has ever done white glove delivery truck driving, and if so what can you tell me about it. What can I expect to make, how is the work besides busting your ### to carry the furniture, etc.

    Is the name of the company "White Glove"? If so, you better do some more checking. If it's the same company I've read about, they are constantly being sued. If it's the same company, they contract to deliver household goods for major movers, then demand more money from the customers before unloading, even though the customer has already paid for the delivery. They hold the furniture hostage until the ransom is paid. Do some Google & make sure the company that hired you isn't the same one or some angry customer might take revenge on you. I've moved several times & I can promise you, if that had ever happened to me, there would be some serious anger management problems & they absolutely would not leave my home with my furniture on the truck. The loophole they use is that they had to store your furnitue and you're paying for storage, even though you didn't contract with the major mover for your stuff to be stored with them.
