There is obviously something wrong you don't do a swap like that just for the hell of it... You sound like more of a super trucker for running your mouth without really knowing what's going on, I guess you weren't man enough to say something to their face so you gotta do it online..

This guy states he was going in to eat a bite, probably a hamburger or steak these "dummies" hauled to slaughter for him to enjoy. I agree with the above the only dummy here is the one posting, try hauling cows for a bit, I bet you don't make it outta the chute let alone down the road it takes a lot to be a cow hauler that's why you hear guys saying they've hauled everything but that cause they're scared

Takes 2 seconds to die in that trailer loading them at the sale barn, takes 2 seconds to die when you're unloading, takes 1/4 of a second to die when ANY truck driver is on the road. We aren't the all american bad---es because we haul critters were flesh and blood just like every other truck driver in america. We are no tougher than any "freight hauler". I'm sure the OP wouldn't have lipped off to either of them old boys either. I don't see a problem with what was done when a truck can't be limped you get them cattle OFF! Especially in the middle of the day.

I've had to help transfer a load before in a parking lot. We had to transfer at night and just wanted to repower the trailer but couldn't. Trick to dropping them is one truck is in reverse getting ready to hook up as the other truck pulls out. It can be done its a lot safer for the drivers than trying to transfer across trailers. But a froze up 5th wheel forced us to transfer them to another truck.

I would say out of all the things I've experienced in my short track as a bull hauler that was probably the most dangerous thing I've ever had to do. Least at a sale barn if things go wrong I can run out of a trailer and jump a fence, in this situation you're running down a trailer into another trailer with nowhere to go.

It'll make a man out of you, by all means and god forbid the load has to stay desperate (2 different pickups, 2 different size cattle, etc). Adds another element of complication to the equasion. Seems like most people think all we do is walk them up to the trailer and drop a door they just go where they want and everything is done for us. There's a lot more that goes into cow hauling than bumping a chute, walking them on, dropping a door, and hauling ###.

Thing is the hand with the buckle may have earned it gives him the right to display it. There are times that things look stupid to the uninformed, but nothing else can be done. The stupid part of all of it is the OP showing his genius, making fun of a couple ol stupid cow hands. As far as the boy being young whats matter with that he may have been raised in a truck and can handle it far better than you that was your problem wasn't it, you felt inferior.

Money isn't as great you may think, but money isn't why we do it. Its not for the weary or weak.

This thread hasn't been posted to since September 10th, until today, the original poster has done other things on the site, but hasn't been on this site in 4 weeks. For what it's worth, I worked with livestock all my life until 2001, and I really don't want to haul livestock with a class 8, poultry is bad enough for this gimpy old guy, and I prefer the meat I haul to be in boxes or tubs, even live haul is more challenge than I want in the cold.

I'd say the topic doesn't need refreshing, and the OP doesn't need his pedigree read anymore, can't we just leave this one alone?

Maybe some of our replies came off quite harsh. Actually I do believe this thread and the pictures from the OP can be used for educational purposes maybe not his posts, but the pictures of the trucks backed up together could be used to show how to actually do this if somebody ever needed it. I have had to do this before, I do believe wore out may have or has had to at some time or another, and I believe Jake the bullhauler may have done this before as well. Why not take something that's been turned into a contest and something bad and turn it into something educational?

I mean that is what the forum is supposed to be for, although sometimes it doesn't work that way when some members myself included get offeded. But I do see where this could be educational for somebody who wanted to get into cow hauling. Could even be an interesting topic to explain what goes into preforming this procedure and may give other members a chance to lend a hand if they come across this.

I know that night when we had to unload we could've used a hand and we had 3 people myself included.
