    Her name was CARRIE NATION.
If I'm not mistaken, there is an Indian reservation or three where it's banned.

Do I really need to explain the difference? When you have consumed alcohol a breath test can reveal it. If enough time has passed since your consumption and you are now sober you may driver. Easily measured. There is no test available to detect when you have used pot. Could have been 2 weeks or 2 minutes ago. Intoxication level is the key question at the moment of testing. When a test for pot is developed that is as timely and accurate as a BAC I'm sure it will be treated the same as alcohol.

It would NOT hurt to have, hair follicle testing, urine testing, blood samples, and saliva samples to be POSITIVELY sure that the drivers are CLEAN. It should be done NUMEROUS times from the time a driver applies for the job, all the way up to the time the driver quits or retires, JUST AS IT IS DONE IN THE MILITARY.

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

I simply belive in safety and freedom. The joint or 12 pack of beer on friday is fine in my book come monday. i do not drink anymore, and i do not do any drugs except caffeine. Stupidity can be unsafe but i see it as a form of natures population controls.

I do not believe the military guys should be subject to all that testing. Those serving our country should be able to do as they dam well please on thier off time. It is anti-freedom.

Just because one group has their freedoms taken away does not mean every1 else should as well. Again it is anti-freedom.
Since the murderers in jail have lost the right to many things, so should the rest of us. its only fair and we all know life is 100% fair.

If joints and beers kill people then pencils misspell words. We wouldnt want people to take responsability for their own actions and freedoms would we? Lets just take everything away and force every1 to operate like robots. Do not think, just do as you are told with no questions......

excuse me. i must go throw up on the side swift truck on my left side and walk around to pee on the ground directly below his driver door. The anti-freedom, petty bs, citizens arresting, taddletales, who still love and wear diapers have made me sick....

And if you cant comprehend freedom, sarcasm, or humor then go kfhrejhferjkhrejrebjvk!

I disagree with this statement, I just completed 8 years in the US Army, and I fully believe that I would not want a stoned individual holding a M-4 rifle and have an accidental discharge in my general direction. Trust me, I've smoked pot, and when I did, I know the effects of what could POSSIBLY happen while "under the influence"

Also you say 'Off Time', there is no such thing as off time in the military we can be called up at any given moment, without notice, and without reason, even if you did just finish that ounce of Mary Jane and followed it with a 6 pack of Irish Death...

And that has what to do with the soldier's TIME OFF as stipulated? Riddle me this, what is the difference between a drunken individual on his time off and one smoking pot? I darn sure would rather the dude who smoked a joint be next to me with his M-16 rather than one who was hammered drunk. Many soldiers get hammered on alcohol on their "time off."

And if you don't think you've been on the job with buzzed individuals you're delusional. NO industry is immune or exempt from folks using drugs whether legal or otherwise.
