You have a point about sound. However, most anything this cam can see inside my truck, mounted on the front window, can also be seen by any member of the general public looking in the front window of my truck. I think the DriveCam is great. It will serve as a barrier to entry, for someone to enter into this work force, if it dissuades someone from competing for my job, it is a good thing to increase my income. As people stay away, my stock goes up.

I have pulled some bonehead moves in my first 6 months as a driver but I still think the odds are, the cam system has a better chance of protecting me from one of the other boneheads on the road causing me a threat. I also like the idea that I can manually trigger an event, save a recording of something myself … bypass light at a weigh station ... grab a screen shot of a drunk driver... erratic driving of another driver on a cell phone …. get a shot of someone who looks like they are up to no good in a truck stop parking lot, etc. The fact that someone up to no good in a parking lot knowing a pic may be taken of them can stop a problem before it starts.

one 200 check for 2000 miles brings an average down quick
when a company driver gets 600 for the same week
I have posted my income on here enough it is embarrassing
    that I still work here

Since I have been sittin' around doing nothin' ..:biggrin_2559:.. I decided to look at a doing a blog. Something that would be easier than looking back through this thread for information.... and something that you all could help to keep updated. I might have gone overboard on adding some of the different states but they can always be deleted if no one comments on them. I need some input ....so I will be sending some of you a PM in a few minutes. Don't ask me why I am doing this ....I have no idea! It will take awhile to refine this, so be nice to me with your comments.... a blog is new to me and I have to figure out how it all works!

Yeah, that makes sense. Looking back my weekly avg. miles was better than I thought. A little over 2,800. My low check was $486.48, high check was $1165.01. The timing of expense reimbursement effected both checks more than miles.

whether you are going to Dillons or City Beverage
they are both off East 4th St
the GPS wants to send you downtown on 4th street
just east of town on KS 50 is airport road
take that north to 4th street and avoid town
dillions 1/2 mile on the right
take left on Kirby to city beverage

^City Beverage is in an old industrial park with wide streets right up until the front of City Beverage. City Bev sits on a street that is more narrow with very steep, deep ditches on the side of the road, covered by tall vegetation. I shorted a corner to get into City Beverage, got up on the gravel. I made it fine, but later when I was walking around to stretch my legs I saw the imprint I made in the gravel. I was about 1/4 inch from dropping the right tandem down into a 3 foot ditch, that was covered by the tall grass, I did not even know it when I went around the corner. :biggrin_25524:

Kinda loses its appeal when you put it like that.
