Well, you beat me to it Hammer. You know I'm a retired cop, so I'm pretty darn cynical. But it seems to me that folks here are jumping to beat this guy down, before knowing what his situation is.
I spent my LE career in Cali, and have never heard of a class x felony before his post. (But then there's a lot of things I haven't heard of. . .)![]()

My company fired a guy last week for talking on a cell phone at work.
Another broad wanted Labor Day week off- which was denied, so she came in with a doctor's excuse for her chronic back pain (for that week off), the company took her off her bus and put her on a much lower paying bus.

Don't exactly know just what a class x felony is but , from what I've seen from looking at other sites , the classification x is really serious. While I can get on board with folks being rehabilitated and all , you know doing their time , and turning themselves around..... there must be a line that should not be crossed.....this class x thing if a person has that sort of a conviction on their record should forfeit the privilege of either getting or keeping a CDL....Just my thoughts.

Yeah, that makes good sense. Basically what you're telling this person is to give up and become a welfare bum.

There are plenty of companies that will hire felons, but here you're talking about a serious crime. It's not like vehicle theft or possession of a small amount of crack, we're talking about seriously violent crimes with very malicious intent. A lot of companies won't even take the chance to hire someone with that on their record, no matter how long ago it was.
I agree that it's unfair. After all, a majority of repeat offenders only end up back in jail because they couldn't find a job and had to turn back to crime in order to survive. There is a lot more that could be done to help those who truly want to reintegrate into society after a prison term.mje Thanks this. -
No , not at all....But if a person any person , knowingly commits the kinds of crimes that were outlined by the classification x type felony. IMHO..they have given-up the privilege to have a CDL and all of the perks...pay/retirement/etc..that come with one. There MUST be a dividing line that must be in place , if for nothing else to act as a deterrent. You break the law and are convicted of a felony of a cert6ain classification then you give -up certain right and privileges...otherwise punishment means nothing. I'm all for someone turning themselves around...100%..but once you make the choice to break certain laws...you then must be held accountable..I'm not saying that they need to be UN-employable by no means...put them to work...but don't reward them them....

Are you on parole . How bands the crime you can find work in trucking where do you live there are companies that will hire you small companies along the Mexican border call you local temp service do you have some cash you could by a cash cow do your on thing
