I see you're in Summerville. If the truck stop you're thinking of is the Pilot, I'd reconsider...just too tight IMHO. Been a long time since I've run down that way (even though I live in Columbia)...is that old Citgo still there?

Either way....if you do that, invest in a brake knob lock (probably the wrong term....). And if you're just talking about the tractor, your apartment might let you park there. Like ethos recommended, use the back if possible. Good luck!

 

Give your landlord a call. I remember my dad parking his tractor in the parking lot (even though it was fairly large) and it was on more than one occasion. Worst they cant say is no. I definitely wouldnt leave it unattended at a truck stop. Have you read the truck stop threads?

That would probably be OK, Like they said just don't be leaving with you taking everything you own out of it, have your ride to the house wait out front in the car and go inside with your shower bag with whatever you need to go home with, if there are going to be any drivers hanging out there check to see if they would keep an eye on it, then during your home time I'd pull your blinds and leave the APU running, that way they think someone is inside of it. then come back by it every little while to check on it.

Probably safer than the local truck stop. Can call and see if they would allow you to park there for your time off. They usually don't mind unless they just don't have the space to spare. If they say no ask if they know of any facilities in the area drop yards etc where you might be able to just pay a small parking fee for your time off.
