The company I want to apply to (Prime) doesn't have a terminal or drop yard anywhere near where I live. So, I will have to drive the truck home. Here's the problem, I live in a apartment complex and I doubt they will let me park it there.
Where am I suppose to drop this truck off?
PS. There is a truck stop about a mile and a half from where I live. Could I drop it off there?
All help is appreciated![]()

It should be okay, unless of course the manager has a problem with it. Just be decent and park in the back.

I see you're in Summerville. If the truck stop you're thinking of is the Pilot, I'd reconsider...just too tight IMHO. Been a long time since I've run down that way (even though I live in Columbia)...is that old Citgo still there?
Either way....if you do that, invest in a brake knob lock (probably the wrong term....). And if you're just talking about the tractor, your apartment might let you park there. Like ethos recommended, use the back if possible. Good luck!mje Thanks this. -
Yeah, you're responsible for your truck when you leave it un-attended for time off, so, careful where you leave it. DO NOT have Mama drive up and you empty it out and load up your 4 wheeler and drive off. Too many eyes upon you. You will come back 3 days later with everything gone. (fuel,cb, everything)
ethos, Dariq843, newbietrucker007 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Give your landlord a call. I remember my dad parking his tractor in the parking lot (even though it was fairly large) and it was on more than one occasion. Worst they cant say is no. I definitely wouldnt leave it unattended at a truck stop. Have you read the truck stop threads?
mje Thanks this. -

No, Citgo has been replaced by a kangaroo express, which has a big lot behind it.mje Thanks this.

That would probably be OK, Like they said just don't be leaving with you taking everything you own out of it, have your ride to the house wait out front in the car and go inside with your shower bag with whatever you need to go home with, if there are going to be any drivers hanging out there check to see if they would keep an eye on it, then during your home time I'd pull your blinds and leave the APU running, that way they think someone is inside of it. then come back by it every little while to check on it.mje Thanks this.

Thermo King - 935 Commerce Circle, Hanahan, SC (843) 744-5040
Triple T Freightliner - 155 Farmington Rd, Summerville, SC (800) 892-9825
Peterbilt Truck Center - 255 Farmington Rd, Summerville, SC (843) 879-0253
Probably safer than the local truck stop. Can call and see if they would allow you to park there for your time off. They usually don't mind unless they just don't have the space to spare. If they say no ask if they know of any facilities in the area drop yards etc where you might be able to just pay a small parking fee for your time off. -

much safer than leaving it at t/s.
