If your stepdeck is 53' with a fixed spread it is not legal above the grapevine in CA. You have to be able to slide the rear axle forward to use it there. I have one registered in CA not legal above grapevine, that's how I Know.

I thought you had to have your axles closed (40') in the entire state.
