No kidding! What a jerk. Those things are #### heavy. Most shops actually use a crane.

I've never seen anyone use a crane, but they are awkward and heavy. More awkward than heavy. Definitely a finger smasher if you're not careful.

887,000 miles is fantastic life for a fan clutch. The easiest way is to buy a Horton factory reman with a 2 year, 200,000 mile warranty. There is no hassle in rebuilding so you save labor . They also have kits available. There are will fitter kits available , but they are not genuine parts tested by the OEM's. Also, if you put on a will fitter kit, even a liner , you will void the Horton warranty.

I wont buy a junk horton clutch any more from what has been told of the warranty. If they are going to keep that crap policy, they are done in my book. Dont worry about putting better parts in your fan clutch, horton would take months to decide to send you a new part if they felt like it. Its not worth the time to wait for horton, just buy a better part from ANYBODY ELSE and get back on the road.

I am on the same thought as you their warranty is like everyone else might as well wipe your ##### with it!!!! There is some things to buy oem as one does this long enough you learn what parts are just as good or most times better than oem! I am very lucky to have a relative that is a parts man at a local heavy truck parts store he has been a wealth of information for replacement parts Horton left a bad taste in my mouth with their warranty I wont buy anything with their name on it!!!!
