Im official now. I am home after being gone for 2 months straight...and I have a pretty maroon truck and trailer outside that is assigned to me!
I leave out Friday for my first load. Im in LNG so I am home every other weekend for the most part. Im going to pick up friday and get a long run for a Monday delivery hopefully.
I know I made about 20 different threads on these forums asking things about Maverick while I was deciding on getting back into trucking. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for answering all my questions. I did feel it gave me a little bit of an edge going into this. Maverick is an amazing company. I have not been shafted or lied to yet. Everyone I have met and worked with has not only done things the right way, but also very understanding and helpful from those who are just starting. I have not been treated with anything other than respect by the staff and the other drivers at Maverick. I really hope that continues because it is really nice to experience. I may have the wool pulled over my eyes still, but I dont see why any driver wouldn't want to work for this company. I may be jinxing myself by praising them so much lol!
Im in truck 11093. 2011 model but everything works just fine in the truck including the APU. Only flaw I have found on it so far was I think the DEF was clogged but worked itself out upon driving home. And my front bumper looks lower on one side compared to the other. No damage to the paint or anything and you wouldn't even notice it unless you were looking for it.
So Friday is the day I get rolling solo. Im excited, but also a little nervous and intimidated.
Journey Completed - My thanks to everyone

Congrats and now I think you can change from wannabe to trucker. Hope you enjoy your new lifestyle.

Good luck and I hope you like it as much as you think you will....
Just remember, however irritating those receivers/shipper/whoever you have to deal with are, you're not married to them, don't have to live with them and can leave!
Take care!

Welcome to the family! Don't forget to grab some food at a terminal if you can get through one this week, and check out Maverick's new video on YouTube for this year's Driver Appreciation Week:

Congratulations! Welcome to Maverick! Ditto what jxu said, create just one thread to talk about your journey. I'd use this one.
