Ya companies have this policy they don't hire if you got terminated or wait so long before you're eligible for employment with them.Can you tell us why that previous company let you go?

That's too bad I spose since it was driving related Prime is leary who knows.I wonder how long this recruiter knew you wasn't hired.She probably wouldnt have told you till the the day before you was to leave.Well Prime isn't the only company I would suggest start calling around now before filling out any application.You may just hit the jackpot but won't if you stay glued to the forum.

I'm 57. Been heavy equip. operator for 30 years but no work in that field. Never been fired before. I explained that to the Prime recruiter but it didn't matter.mje Thanks this.

I would imagine there are a lot of companies that would love to get you on board. I thought you were going to say 22 and that was your first job. LOL
Only other thought is some won't take you if you're out of work more than 30 days. -
For ##### and giggles call the recruiter back and ask her if you having that much exp in heavy equipment operator has anything to do with them not hiring you.I do know some of these carriers won't hire someone with too much driving exp because they can't mold them into their own personal puppet.

I've been out of work since May. It's taken a few months to secure the WIA grant.

It looks as though, in the trucking industry, that unemployment is as much of a handicap as having been in an accident or having the misfortune of being a convicted felon.
