To anyone who has been following my dilemma and how I was so nervous these past 2 weeks or so over my NV suspension, I have good news. I have been accepted after all! I just found out this morning from my recruiter that they are taking me.
I did, however, ask that my start date be pushed up one more week only because there were so many things that I had to hold off getting done until I knew for sure that I would be getting in.
Now that I know, I can't just rush it all - so I will be taking a flight into SLC on March 1st to begin classes on March 3rd at CR England.
Such a weight has been lifted off of my shoulders!
Everything is now falling into place - I can begin packing and preparing for my journey! I want to thank you all who have been so helpful to me, I forget the nicknames off hand, I am sorry, but you all know who you are.
Grandma Demi and Debi, I do recall your nicks. lol - I'm going to be following your paths!
Please reply in this thread if you see it and let me know how your OTR training is going with CR England.
God, I can't believe the year is almost 1/6th over already! Seems like last week I was pulling my hair out dispatching taxis on New Year's Eve! Worked as a dispatcher and driver for taxis for 14 years, and last month decided NO MORE - I want a better career. If I'm going to drive, it's going to be driving something worth while!
I look forward to the trucking industry with great ambition! I'll be posting here as much as I can as I progress and become seasoned over the weeks, months, and probably years!
I just got back from K-mart where I got myself some more little odds and ends I was told to bring. A padlock, gloves, flashlight, calculator, stationary supplies, etc... I'm all set!
Billy
Okay, it's CR England for me!

Good luck. I'd bet your insight into the dispatch side of the counter will give you a leg up when dealing with all that goes with the job. If you have time, be sure and report back. Good luck, again.

Good Luck, just don't fall for there lease program. Do your year as a company driver and run like hell from them .........
AfterShock Thanks this. -
There is a better than good chance that CRE will ruin your excitement and desire for trucking.
AfterShock Thanks this. -
Trucking companies are like politicians, They tell you what you want to hear, then end up screwing you, I wouldn't put it past CRE if they end up screwing you
TrucKer 999 TriLLion Thanks this. -
Thank you all!! And yes, I know, I know - I have been going through this forum with a fine tooth comb these past few weeks since I been getting myself ready for this and I saw all the horrible things about this specific company, but like I said in another thread, I want to get into the industry bad enough, I'll take whatever door opens.
Yes, if I have to do my year and run, I will, but for now, I'm going to stick it out. I look at it this way - if it's really as horrible as they say it is, well, then it's a good place to start because at least I'll know that when I leave and go somewhere else, it will be an improvement!
But I'll let you all know how I'm doing!
Think of me as the CRE guinea pig... LOL

Glad to see you are going into this with both eyes wide open...
