I don't know if it had a model number but a needle nose kw is like a w900L except the hood is thinner if you will than today's version. Old school right there.

Not mine, just pulled it off google images. My truck is not shiny and doesn't need to be in the spotlight. But it makes me good coin  In time, I will have a show truck someday. If my local KW dealer wasn't such a useless fool, I would possibly buy another in the future. I like the 389 just as much as the w900L.

yessir exactly. not sure but I want to say it was an '81 went at auction for 2 grand and I could have driven it home. kick myself almost every day for not snatching it up.

course it didn't look as pretty as that pic.

first truck I ever drove as civilian was a '71 Pete. God that thing was rough as hell. a smooth RR track would have you smacking your head on the headliner. LOL she was 20 years old when I got to drive her.

funny back then my road test was ..."can you drive?" me: "yeah I think I could handle it" owner: "ok let's go see, hang on let me get my daughter". he proceeds to put his 3 yr old daughter in the sleeper. he takes down a couple country roads, shows me how the 13 spd trans works. pulls into a gas stop.

gets out for coffee. as we come out he says "well I got us here, if you get us home you got the job".

My first day of training was a snowstorm in Milw going down to Chicago.

God I miss those days just thinking about it.

I wasn't a complete newb, I was a gun driver in the Army. Drove Howitzers, as well as being the commanders driver, even drove Gen Vouno around once.
