Yep, you got it. Well... er ya better have it!
jmarsh91 Thanks this. -
That depends A LOT on the state. In Texas you can get title to ANY vehicle as long as you have insurance on ANY vehicle you own. BUT that's just title. NOT registration or tags. It simply gets the vehicle in your legal name. For tags and reg. you have to have it insured. Check with your local tag agency. they can provide more info.

is there any like real cheap bobtail insurance i can get on it till i can start pulling loads with it

That sir, depends on your insurance company. Now considering that we've all graduated from the costs of 4-wheelers to 18-wheelers, applying the 18/4 = 4.2 times multiplier that everything involved in the 18-wheel world of finance seems to require...
...I really doubt it.

In Ohio you can get the Title, but no plates without ins.

I just paid insurance for my tractor and trailer. 2500 down and 825 a month for 9 months

You will need a to provide the MC # of the party responsible for safety. You can't have a valid MC # without insurance. This is TN but I suspect more states want a valid MC# for apportioned plate.
