STRIKE NOW !!! If you got the guts.

I have spoken to truck drivers in various truck stops and other places. Many of them are incredibly decent human beings.

I have also met some absolute whatcha-ma-call-it holes that would be indescribable on this forum.

Just recently, a professional truck driver said that I was an absolute "JOKE" because I am earning $9.00 plus an hour plus overtime and small commissions, after being in the work force for 39 years, (since 1974), and that this is the highest hourly wage that I have ever earned in my life.

I explained that I am currently working on trying to become a truck driver, but first must get my MVR cleaned up, and get my health, employment history, along with other issues in order. Currently, I cannot pass a physical or meet the criteria of either the D.O.T. or any reputable trucking company. I am working VERY HARD to correct all this.

TRUTHFULLY, I DID PUT MYSELF IN THIS SITUATION, (did NOT commit a crime or do anything illegal, do NOT have any children to support). However, I did make serious mistakes that followed me for years. I am just now getting out from under them.

The what-cha-ma-call-it hole truck driver said that any recruiter worth his salt would tell me to get out for being in a low wage job for so many years, because it is a sign of pure God D*** laziness and sheer stupidity on my part.

Many low income or lower middle income people are also victims of various prejudices against them. There is a preconceived notion that a person who has been at the lower rungs of society are either convicted felons or have been "lazy" their whole lives. This is NOT always the case.

Don't worry grandpa, I'l be there....with 2 of my others trucks and drivers as well.......were did I call anyone gutless!Need to replace glasses after 45 years.

To each his own, I say. This will be more of a protest then strike.

 

Maybe you didn't call the non supporters Gutless, but someone did, its not a matter of Gutless is more about sensibility.
Do you really thing protesting in DC will gain you Brownie points and get the Government to change what lobbyists have paid them so much to make the laws you object to?

I posted before, If you want to do it so you get a maximum effect get everyone to write their concerns down and mail it to the White House, Every Member of Congress and all State Representatives and Senators. The mail man must deliver the mail... That's Law. By spending a little on Stamps rather than Diesel, you would probably have more followers and a bigger impact. It would also deal with the local problems as well as the Federal ones.

Glasses, Yes I must LOOK in to doing that....

I emailed tv stations in the Okc and a few in Tulsa yesterday. Today I have emails back wanting to interview me. So don't think the media won't get involved.

 

Every dept in govt has a union. Our private sector totals approx. 500,000 members as opposed to 5 million govt workers whom are unionized. This year when they tried to layoff airtraffic controllers (govt union) they found out that their layoff packages cost more than keeping them! Congress changed their minds after having voting the layoff into law.
Yet you can layoff union members in the private sector with no strings attached. Your welcome.

 

The Strike isn't just about trucking issues, It is about all the abuses of our liberty that the Government has been doing for a long time. I feel sorry for this country. If people can't unite in peaceful protest or strike than there is little hope of saving the american way of life. In the end , I have been all over the world and the real leaders of the world , not the puppets that stupid people think control things see everyone as canon fodder and nothing more. I support the ideal of a strike but nothing in this world ever changes without a body count. And even then , it doesn't always change for the better. If more people would research the way things really work instead of believing whatever the idiot box tells them. We might be able to save this country from total collapse. Hungary and Iceland saw who the real problem causers were. And either booted them out or are working on booting them out of the country. Unless everyone hangs together they will hang separately. As for as the big companies go they won't change unless they feel fear. Neither will corrupt politicians , that is just the way things are.....

Most people who say things bad about unions have no ideal what unions did for everyone. But That being said unless our globalistic government repeals NAFTA and GATT and start charging tariffs to import into America , good wages won't return. And that requires getting rid of corporate fascism which won't happen without real revolution . I say ask yourself how long before the house of cards that is the petro dollar collapses. No one will be hauling anything for anyone when it does. And under the Patriot Act and the NDAA , These big box companies will be seized for the good of the state. I question the timing of this trucker strike considering all the planned DHS training in that region at that time.

 

At very least union drivers have some type of protection..Over here at Landstar they tell BCO's to drop there trailer 1000's of miles from home and cancell there contract.And the BCO has ZERO PROTECTION.Even if he/she is right..SHAME ON LANDSTAR..
