John, Have a safe trip out west. I am in El Paso tonight for a unload in Tucson Monday Morning, reload and back to SC.
Best thing, I am having dinner tonight with an old Army friend who is over here at Ft, Bliss. Havent seen him in 15 years, he just moved back from Germany.

Anyway, have a safe trip, and watch out for the crazies.

Thanks Larry. Enjoy that dinner with your buddy, I'm sure you two will have something to talk about. I'm going to PM you about your truck. It is a Fitzgerald Glider isn't it? I've had some crazy thoughts running through my head and I'm quite sure you would have all the answers. Look for the PM tomorrow.

John, always be happy to talk to you, use your area code, 704 7701.
I do have a glider, and I love it. It is from Fitzgerald, and I am very happy the way I was treated boyh by sales and staff. And I am eztremly happy with Mercer since I started with them.

Diner with my old friend was great, Last night I had dinner with another old friend and his wife, I am sitting at the New Pilot in Tucson, and Head back to SC tomorrow morning.
Hope all is good with you.

    Safe Miles,

    Larry

I was up at 2am yesterday and was leaving the Pilot in Cannonsburg Ky at 2:45 in the morning. As soon as I got on 64 west I put my wipers on. Then it came down in buckets for the next 185 miles across Kentucky. As soon as I hit the Indiana welcome center I stopped and took my half hour break and made myself a cup. As I was leaving the rain stopped, the lighter it got out the nicer it got. I made it to Oak Grove Mo and called it a day, all 693 miles of it. I called it a night, rather a day at the Petro and had 610 miles to my delivery. I left the Petro at 2am this morning. It was just one of the most peaceful, quiet rides I have ever had. I stopped once in a rest area just to stretch my legs then drove to Oakley KS and got my truck and trailer washed. When we get our trucks serviced they put a truck wash in the Blue Beacon system for us. I kept checking my weather/radar to make sure it was going to be nice for a few days. I pulled in to the Blue Beacon right at 7am local time and took my half hour break while getting my truck washed. I got here to the Flying J in Aurora right at 12:30 this afternoon and put my truck and myself to sleep. I have a 6am appt. in the morning just 5 miles from here. Here's a picture taken a little while ago. It cleans up rather nicely. In fact, it got me into the right mood to do a complete cleaning of the interior, not that it needed it, but boy is it clean.

That sure is a good looking truck you got there JB, wish I could get my company to let me get mine washed. I picked up ol' Pearl on April 1st, hasn't gotten a bath since.

We have an outside wash company that's at our yard 6 days a week. I'm at the yard once a week and make sure I get a wash. They do a great job. They wash trailers also but not one you would be hooked to. They take part of the day and wash about a dozen trailers at a time. My thinking is if the company I drive for takes pride in how their equipment looks as it leaves the yard, the least I can do is my part in keeping the inside clean. I take pride in my work and how I look, I have good.....great, equipment to drive, and I enjoy having my ego stroked with compliments.
