I was fired from Central Refrigerated nearly 2 months ago. I tried to file for unemployment but they told the state that they fired me for failure to obey orders

    hold on a second

they are saying that I spent ALL day washing out a trailer. when if you review my logs you'll find out that isn't even the least bit true

after spending a lot of the day driving to get to the 01 (I was in the shop the day before, its a very long story) I showed up, they rejected the trailer so I washed it out which as we all know takes 20 minutes

after the 20 minutes of washing the trailer and the 20 minutes to drop and hook I took a 30 minute break just to reset my 8 hour clock and ran all the way from Mason City, IA to Walcott where I managed to park. I took an 8 hour break then finished off my 2 hour break in Peru, IL because I ran out of hours (parked with just moments to spare) and I don't like driving in/during sunrise/sunset.

I sent a QUALCOMM message telling them "finishing up an 8-2 split" then finished the load.

if they pull my logs they will see the story that I just told you. they are accusing me of taking all day to wash the trailer and then "BSing". also, how did I get out of Mason City and to Alsip, Il so quick?

is it possible for a company to fudge your logs just to cover themselves?

The biggest ''secret'' in the Brainwashed E-LOG Followers Cult is you can LIE,CHEAT AND STEAL on the darn thing, just like the Paper Logs..Yes you can even ''edit'' and so can your ''company''...

They use the word ''Fix''...Do not let anyone fool you..Its another Program that is NOT 100%...

Legally no. DOT says must be in the drivers own handwriting. No idea how that would apply to Elogs though.

But then again some companies will cover themselves on things whether legal or not because how's anybody gonna prove otherwise?

From my understanding, any time there is a change to any1 logs it is noted automatically by computer in that area. Now maybe it's different from actual companies stand point/when and if "they" alter it. You should be getting a print out of ur logs anyway, just in case ur Audited. So request ur logs and see if they did alter ur logs, and if they did I would file a official grievance with the lovely powers to be. By federal law the have to look into it. :)

    I assume your running e-logs.
Only the safety dept. can edit logs and only after written explanation and review. This will then be changed on your log and must have your update approval. Anything other than that is grossly illegal.
If your running paper logs, always keep a copy of your logs for at least 3 months so you can provide proof of what you have been doing, if they have questions or trying to screw you.

I wouldn't be a bit surprised if companies edit logs daily illegally.Companies are far worse then the drivers are.

Patti i have a friend that is the director of a trucking company safety dept..You should hear the things they can do...It would blow your mind..

This guy is slick and he even smokes weed and has no worries..Truck drivers are very gullable.Remember why this is.They do this for ''themselves'' not the driver..It is all about keeping the DOT out of the company office..These guys run around paranoid about the Millions in fines.

As far as a driver they could give a rats ###...They will toss them under the bus everytime and replace them that day..
