you can argue with yourself all day, and disbelieve everything you want, but a truck that went 2,000 miles on 190 gallon tanks does not lie.
I got screenshots from my qualcomm too,...Actually mine is not too far off. Here is one from not too long ago,... I had a trailer with only 3,000 lbs in it that day.

I worry to much on weight with the Cat. Also I'm thinking the N14 will weight a little less than the 60 series but I here it is a dam good dd

What would you suggest in a set up if your running AZ, TX, to all the S.E. maybe also some Midwest runs with a Reefer also have a dry van 53' on both.

Well I don't think the fuel cost will be coming down any time soon to a sensible cost. I don't care about speed I like running between 65/68 all day long. If I can get the right set up for lets say 67-68 at 1300/1350 I would be a happy camper on fuel I believe.

that is the lanes we like and are set up for. 12.7/13/3.42. 73 mph at 1450. 6.8 mpg. others may have a I like I DO NOT WANT THIS TO COME ACROSS AS A THREAD JACK, only stating that because this area you speak of is my primary lanes, flat and high speed limits.
So you need to ask yourself are you looking for higher gross revenue daily or are you looking to spend alot less on fuel but not gross as much> im not sure there is a perfect answer till you get into it and see what schedule works for you. no use hauling ### to sit for two days. no use going to slow and not making a Friday afternoon appointment to have to wait till Monday to unload cause you wanted to brag on the internet about 9 mpg...
For the lanes listed the 12.7 will have plenty of power. NM will be the worst with the rolling hills. we have very few big boy hills. -
Great question and great inputs.
The N14 has fewer moving parts & pieces internally than an S60. I would personally choose an N14 myself. (That's my nomination).
Both a good engines and I dont believe you will be disappointed with either.

Ah. But my screen shots were from my normal hauling of 40,000+ in the box on short hauls those weeks that included a fair amount of 2 lane, hilly roads. I didn't want to try and make bold claims with only 3000 in the box. I haul a lot of bulk product. Occasionally I will pull a light load. I would dearly love to see those screen shots from yours after 2500 miles all week and doing nothing but 40k in the box, rolling down rural, hilly 2 lanes, having to slow down for small towns every few miles that always seem to be in the valley areas so you have to make a climb up the next hill out of them. Terrain, roads, weather, etc all play into this. One of the reasons, besides avoiding emissions junk, that I went with a glider was because I could spec it a lot lighter than most stuff the OEM's were putting out for new trucks. I can scale 2000 lb more in the box, with full fuel tanks, than any of the company trucks of the carrier I am working with.

I know exactly where your coming from on this. Anyone that has spent all that extra money on all that KR marketed crap, surely cannot be outdone by a more modern, more aero, more fuel efficient truck with only a few minor changes that cost practically nothing to do. That would go against all that he pukes to his followers, now wouldn't it.
