About to graduate cdl school and just needed some insight from more experienced guys. Would it be better to try to get a job in fracing or driving straight out of school? all responses are appreciated. thanks.

I think some company needs a fresh graduate but some are not. Just choose the best company for you.

You'll probably make more money in frac, but you won't be driving much. Driving is a very small part of fracing. I found this video that gives a small overview of what a typical day in frac is like. They leave out the actual frac job and rig down.
During the job you will be running the sand cans or the blender or hydration unit after you get some experience. Then you rig it all down and move to the next job. Many companies will hire guys right out of school.Last edited by a moderator: May 9, 2015

Is this more heavy than a heavy hauling?

Looks like Baker Hughes doesn't train you to properly wear a h2s monitor. Wearing them on your hard hat will get you killed if gas is present. Smh

yeah "I'm a safety guy out here" and his h2s monitor is on the back... looks like a bird perch lol
