I am not a felon but my wife is. Will this stop her from riding with me? It is an old charge but that point is mute, she is a felon/Angel

Riders have to be approved by the company you will work for. You may/may not be charged a rider fee. This is to protect the carriers interest.

I have no problem paying for the liability of her safety, just wanted to know if it was a deal breaker

Going to depend on the Company I think.
If it's a big deal to you..ask before you sign on with a company.

Another issue if the company allows her to ride is if you are deliveing to a Prison, military base, or port she may not be able to enter.

I doubt her "record" will ever come into question. They aren't generally wanting to run a background check on riders. But they will want to see some sort of proof of the relationship such as a marriage certificate in your case. They don't care if you have a woman with domestic terrorsistic intents so long as you and her are married, not just your girlfriend. Outside of hauling high security freight, I've never known a company to run a background check (or care about the background) on a rider. So long as she has some valid state-issued photo ID to get in a small handful of shippers and receivers in the USA, i doubt there will ever be an issue.

its not the fact that the trucking companies will make that decision, But felons cant go in Canada, then prisons and military bases they will check ID... I think he will be ok to have her as a rider though
