I didn't know that. My old fleet manager ( David) told me that it wasn't an option to do that. Then again he said a lot of things.

You can tell who gets it and who doesn't on the seniority list at the terminals...PFP score is on there.

My PFP does not look like that I have 0.06 OOR and I certainly don't have a 20 score. I guess that's the difference between OTR and dedicated.

Well that may be ONE of the differences. Dedicated accounts will have a higher OOR than the OTR divisions just by the nature of being dedicated to one (or two) specific customers- and not being able to just be dispatched to the nearest shipper of whatever to p/u your next load- and also factoring the guaranteed home weekends thing. The biggest difference- at least for MY ACCOUNT'S PFP scoring is that MPD is not factored in AT ALL. In its place, we are scored on "Days Available/Days Missed". If we are available for EVERY DAY in that quarter, then we are eligible for ALL of the points that that category can provide (I think it is 50), but if we should DARE to ask for a SINGLE DAY OFF (for like a special request- like your Child's BDAY) WEELLLLLLLL NNOOOOOOWWWWW!!!! WE CAN'T HAVE THAT!!!! YOU ARE GONNA HAVE TO PAY FOR WANTING TO TAKE A DAY OFF NOW..... You will lose points on your PFP score and it will drop you down to the next lower tier and you WILL NOT be able to get it back up to the next higher tier any way you possibly try to. In other words, if you are dedicated, and depend on PFP bonus money to be there (the pathetic $70/week MAXIMUM that is) well you better suck it up and not ask off for your kid's birthday or that Doctor's appointment or whatever. $20/week lesser payout difference each week= $320/quarter that that special request just cost you. Its absolute bullcrap. Not to mention that we already are paid less to begin with per mile. God I wish they'd let me off this account.

I don't care about the PFP bonus. My out of route is now -61%. They pay me 83 miles to the customer in Canada and I get there in 38 miles, so it's like I'm being paid double. I like running this route plus I like driving in Canada, people in general are nicer and drive more responsible and the roads are much smoother than in the states. In the states it seems like the most favorite form of saying hello is flipping the bird at someone "Really"! What is this country coming to?

I made the o.06 last quarter which surprised me. I was off a week for vacation. Off a week while I was at trainer training, and then my truck was in the shop twice and I got sent home early for my daughters wedding and I took a day off for a dentist appointment. So it pays to get as high as you can in all the categories, so if you take a dip in one, it does not hurt you as much...that is as long as you are not on a dedicated account which had crazy rules.
