Hi all, first post - new to the forum here.

just a question.. legally, what can a company do to you if you get inspected by the D.O.T and found any driver-related violations such has H.O.S, unsafe driving or medical cards.

Are they allowed to fine you?

Which leads to my next question, what type of system does your company have if you get flagged for a driver related violation by the DOT?

    Sorry,
Unsafe Driving, H.O.S Regs & Driver Fitness (FMSCA Categories)

If you are to get busted for speeding, seat belt, failure to have 7 days logs, or not having your physical card on you, ect.

Pretty much anything that has the driver at fault if they are to be inspected.

I've never heard of "company fines" for law enforcement infractions. I'm not sure if they could "fine" a driver. However they typically have a warning system, things go in your folder, one thing leads to the next higher up in reprimand (verbal, written, etc) ... get enough "points" and you're probably going to be dismissed.
