Assuming that they both have 24.5 rubber, here's what you get at 60 MPH.
60 x .73 Top Tranny ratio) x 4.10 Rears x 480 Tire RPM (42" X 3.14= 131.88 inches - divide 63360 inches per mile by 131.88 = 480) divided by 60 = 1436.64 Engine RPM's.
60 x .73 Top Tranny ratio) x 4.83 Rears x 480 Tire RPM (42" X 3.14= 131.88 inches - divide 63360 inches per mile by 131.88 = 480) divided by 60 = 1692.432 Engine RPM's. -

I have 2014 cummins isx525hp. I takes 4 gal of oil between oil change at 48000km pulling mostly tandum dry van loads. It also takes 4.3% def to fuel ratio. The engine has 97, 000 km on it. Average 5.4 mpg.
My friends 2013 DD15 motor takes 2% def to fuel ratio and dont need to add oil between oil changes.
Both are freighliners and I spend almost every week at the dealer because something always breaks down or have to take it to dealer to fix same problem again and again. I have loud noise coming out randomly from front brakes and dealer can't find fault and charged me for labor under warranty.
I bought the truck from first truck surrey, bc canada -
somehow common sense tells me there is more to engine rpm's than gear ratios..

Somehow common sense tells me your an idiot...

OK. Get rid of the tires, the transmission and the differentials. No matter what RPM you run at you're not going anywhere. Are you a DA by any chance????
