you can just get rid of the driver and you wont go anywhere. your point?

tire size and diff ratio's is, again, not the only factor that effects engine rpms.
engine type, how it was build, cylinder count, cylinder size, piston mass, ac, hp, transmission gears, wind, friction, maintenance and the list goes on..

you didn't write that math to compare isx to mx, because it makes no sense (after stating the above). obviously, as you showed us, different gears mean different engine rpm's, going 60mph, the same identical trucks, driving the same time, side by side.

i guess the comment "in a lab" wasn't explaining my disagreement, for that i am sorry.

how the heck did i offended you?

    4.30 ratio is 1506 rpm's, get a calculator..

Actually tire size, diff ratio and transmission ratio are the only factors in what rpm a truck runs at, out of the 10 you listed only one applies. You asked if they were specced the same so PB showed you how the two differed from each other.

You listed 9 other variables that affect only how fast/slow it will achieve those rpm's and how much fuel it will require to do so.

So lets say, same tires, same tranny and diff ratio will equal the same engine revs on 1.6l 4cyl motor and same on 15l 10cyl motor?

Of course. Even a rotary aircraft engine.

I have to ask, when you graduated from whatever school you attended, was it from the bottom half of the class??????????????????????

Use yours properly, it's closer to 1507. (1506.72 to be exact)

Its funny how some people are clueless to how this actually works. What the hell difference does it make for piston size as far as RPM?? Maybe if ya put it in a different way to him he will understand... If you are hammerin the ol lady 30 times per minute and then a black guy hammers... you get the drift...HAHAHA
