Just don't lease and stay solo!! We lease and drive team... It has worked for us, but even with us teaming, it has been a severe challenge at times... They will paint it real pretty, and put bunches of bows on it, but my suggestion, stay company!

Oh yea , I have no interest in leasing . It cost way to much to run a big truck to have to deal with that headache , granted it works for some people . I am staying away from that .
I got a quick question ? What types of area do they run you in or would it be like west to east coast and back just woundering . I keep seeing people say they have seen almost all 48 states in their first year .. -
There are only two states I haven't been in now... Maine and Vermont... Others have... So yep, all 48
As to were YOU will go, depends on which DM you get... But remember, IF you have problems with your DM first try to work through them, but if that just doesn't work, you CAN change DMs or Fleets,
-
Yea definitely , I have heard that they will test the waters with ya to see if your a complainer or not .
-
Haha. Ok so this is kinda funny . So I was bored did a google search of the conley area where I will be going first well actually stockbridge , and let me say WOW . You have a chance of 1 out of 274 people to get mugged or some #### like that wow. That's crazy .. can I take my piece ? Lol might need some backup ....
-
LOL.. No piece, but a mag light works
tangerineGT Thanks this. -
Haha , oh well . Atleast I will not be spending to much time outside the hotel execpt for when I am at the terminal.
I have to get off the bus in Atlanta GA . Ill just wear a sign around my neck that says , no money , no watch , and no wallet ... lol -
LadyK, are firearms against policy at all times, or just at their facility?
-
None are allowed in any truck ... Company, lease or true O/O contracted to Central. Personally, I have never felt the NEED for one, but then we don't stop/shut down in questionable areas... AND since we team, we don't run out of hours as easily as a solo.

I guess I'll be leaving the Glock back home.
I've been a land surveyor for 20 years. When I started working alone in the field I started carrying concealed. Speaking of one man survey crews, this industry is growing smaller and smaller every year with technology so it's been hard to find steady work since 2008. Time for a change.
Amazing how many newbies are in trucking, curious what percentage of them are not in it as a first career.
I just got off the phone with my recruiter, Megan Balding. She's been great. I'm going to Federal Way WA on Oct 21, then SLC Oct 28.
See ya on the road!Lady K Thanks this.
